The brief

The Middle Community asked us for a prayer app that would help unite Muslims worldwide. One that any Muslim could use, no matter the madhab they followed, and without the things they disliked about other apps.

Madhab selection

Choose your madhab and the app customises your experience for it.

Free

A free experience for all Muslims, without compromise.

No ads

No adverts whatsoever in the app, just a clean, simple UI.

No tracking

We don’t sell or use your data for tracking.

Madhabs

Hadi works for Hanafi, Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanbali and Ja’fari Muslims. We spent a lot of effort learning how these schools differ, and built the differences into the app for a truly customisable experience.

Prayer times
Asr follows the Hanafi or the standard method, and Ja’fari users get their own Maghrib calculation.
Ja’fari times
Imsaak and midnight times, plus a traditional timetable view.
Zakat
The calculator changes based on the rules of your madhab.
Khums
A Khums calculator for Ja’fari users, with breakdowns based on your information.
Hadith
Collections chosen for your madhab.
Prayer time settings with the madhab menu open, listing Ja’fari, Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i and Hanbali
Choosing a madhab
Zakat calculator explaining how gold and silver are treated in the Hanafi madhab

Arabic, transliteration and translation

Every du’a and dhikr shows the Arabic, its transliteration and its translation together, so anyone can read and understand it. In the Qur’an, you can adjust the size of the Arabic and translation text.

How it’s built

We built Hadi in Flutter, so one codebase runs on both iPhone and Android. Widgets and support for platform-specific functionality are built natively for each platform.

Flutter

The whole app uses Flutter for its codebase, for iPhone and Android.

Swift widgets

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone, including prayer times and the 99 Names.

Kotlin widgets

Home screen widgets on Android, in several sizes.

Firebase

Sign-in, remote settings and App Check.
